The South Brunswick Viking Marching Band (SBVMB) is one of the most visible ensembles of the Performing Arts Department. In addition to performing at all home varsity football games, the SBVMB performs and competes throughout the state as part of the USBands Marching Circuit. The SBVMB also performs at community events, such as Veteran's Day and Memorial Day ceremonies.
In addition, the Marching Band has performed at venues around the country, including the US Naval Academy (Annapolis, MD), MetLife Stadium (East Rutherford, NJ), LucasOil Stadium (Indianapolis, IN), Disney's Magic Kingdom, and, most recently, a trip to Orlando, FL to perform at the Pop Tarts Bowl and Universal Studios Holiday Parade. The SBVMB also took part in the Super Bowl XLVIII Halftime Show, featuring Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. In 2023, the SBVMB was invited by the New York Jets to perform at halftime of the first ever NFL Game on Black Friday.
